Charities supported by Dr. Cady:

The Evansville Museum of Science and Industry

One of my favorite local organizations, made even more so by my friendship with the Executive Director, John W. Streetman III. This remarkable institution has made quantum leaps over the last 20 years here in the community under Mr. Streetman's leadership. Increasingly, "name" artists are beginning to show up for master classes, exhibits, and the likes. The permanent collection is stunning, given the relatively modest size of our greater metropolitan community. One artist and his wife who I talked to said that they were taken aback the first time they walked in by the depth of the collections.

The Transportation Center and the Science Center are great places for the kids to be educated, and entertained, as well! There is also a "virtual museum" that the internet visitor can "surf on through."

The Nature Conservancy

One of the most cost-effective and non-hysterical environmental groups dedicated to preserving our magnificent planet and natural ecosystems. Support every year can be with as little as $15 - and on up.

I think that these people's hearts and heads are in the right place.

Three Doctors Foundation A remarkable foundation organized by three African-American doctors, Drs. Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt, and George Jenkins, all of whom made a pact with each other when they were in high school and determined that they would make something of themselves when they grew up. All grew up without fathers in the home. Two of them had drug-related arrests as juveniles. But they persevered and achieved their dreams. Their foundation promotes the recruitment and entrance of more minorities into medicine. They hope to one day be able to assist their mentoring efforts with scholarships.
